Do you guys remember That’s So Raven? That’s So Raven, one of the few shows Disney channel did right. That’s So Raven, if you don’t remember starred Raven Symone as Raven Baxter. Let me tell you somethings about Raven Baxter; Raven Baxter wasn’t a thin girl nor did she want to be famous singer like EVERY OTHER CHARACTER ON TELEVISION TODAY. No, Raven was a girl with some extra meat on her bones that wanted to be a fashion designer and model her own work. Remember the episode where a magazine put her head on another model’s body because she didn’t have ‘the look’ and how Raven fought to change it? What happened to episodes like that, Disney Channel? Yes, That’s So Raven, despite being a show about a psychic, was the most real kids show on television. What about the episode dealing with racism when the store manager refused to hire Raven because she’s black? Or the episode dealing with drugs when Raven thought her brother, Cory, was smoking? This was a show that was popular and relatable. It didn’t feature a new song every week, it didn’t need to! The hilarious antics of the costume wearing Raven Baxter, mixed with life lessons we can actually read, made this show the best show Disney Channel came up with ever.

Let me explain you a thing.

When I say I adore Misha Collins, I don’t mean because he’s attractive or funny (though that comes into it), I mean because he is a genuinely nice person.

I was at Asylum 10 this weekend, and for Misha’s autographs he wasn’t allowed to personalise things because of time constraints which is fair enough. However, when I was getting mine, I managed to blurt out (I mean it I was shaking really hard) how important it was to meet him, as Asylum 10 was a goal for me not to kill myself.

The second I said that he stopped writing and looked up at me, and his response was:

“You need better goals.” I almost laughed but I was really trying not to cry, so I responded with:

“No. I don’t.” At this point, he reached across the table and grabbed my hand, pen still off the paper. He looked up at me, shaking and almost crying and smiled and said the simplest thing. At this point he let my hand go.

“See you next year?” I nodded, I was shaking really hard and I picked up the picture and went to leave, but he grabbed my hand again and pulled me back a little. He asked for my name and then wrote what it says on the top left hand corner. He squeezed my hand and smiled and then let me go.

Academically, he knows most of them will be left with their insides bruised, broken and dying, demon-scarred just from what they carry.

But he has convinced Sam that this is the way to pull down wins from losses. And he has to stand behind those words to make his brother believe. To keep him from keeling over in coughing fits and spiking fevers from idleness, hopelessness.
